Medical Camp “Harvest Week”
The Harvest Week program is an annual medical camp that serves a rural, underserved community for a week. It focuses on addressing recurring health issues identified in advance through on-the-ground assessments. Our primary objective is to provide high-quality healthcare services, collaborating closely with local administrative and religious leaders to ensure smooth operations and maximize impact.
For the patients we serve, we offer free screenings for chronic non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. We also provide systematic deworming for children and any adult in need. Additionally, we offer free consultations, pharmaceutical products, dental care, wound care, and various other medical treatments.
The project not only addresses immediate healthcare needs but also includes follow-up and impact evaluations in the short and medium term, ensuring sustainable health improvements. It directly tackles the lack of access to essential healthcare in these areas, bringing necessary services to the doorstep of those who need them most.
Harvest Week stands out because of its comprehensive, collaborative approach, involving local leaders to ensure cultural and administrative integration, and its dedication to follow-up care. This project deserves support as it not only provides immediate relief but also fosters long-term community health development, making a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable populations. Its uniqueness lies in its holistic, patient-centered care model and the strong ties we build with the communities we serve.
